Frankie made her Scotland debut as a substitute in a 4-0 friendly win over Switzerland in September 2008.
Her first start came in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2009 play-off match against Russia at Tynecastle the following month.
She fought to win the right-back berth and became a regular in Anna Signeul’s teams throughout 2009.
Frankie was amongst the first intake of students at the Scottish FA’s Women’s National Academy at the University of Stirling, where players combine daily football training with their studies.
She recently scored the winning penalty against Wales in the 2017 Cyprus Cup, securing a fifth placed berth for Scotland.
