Defender Jenny Beattie made her debut for Scotland against the USA in 2008, aged 17. In the same year she played in the finals of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship in France.

She scored her first senior goal in a 4-1 UEFA Women’s Euro 2009 qualifying win over Portugal, and established herself in the squad during the run to the play-offs.

Jenny joined Arsenal from Celtic in 2009 and has featured all over the park for the national team, from the heart of defence to the front line.

In March 2011 Jennifer scored in a historic 2-0 win as Scotland defeated England for the first time in over 30 years.

Now a regular in defence for Scotland, Beattie has played for Montpellier and in 2015 joined Manchester City. She went on loan to Melbourne City for year before returning to Manchester where they won the FA Women’s Super League and the FA WSL Continental Cup.
